A dynamic organic food company is seeking an experienced Operations Team Leader to manage a team responsible for order processing, invoicing, claims management, stock control, and importing operations. The successful candidate will be highly organised, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and have a proven track record in managing various operational aspects within a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing: Manage daily activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Invoicing: Oversee the creation and issuance of invoices, manage billing discrepancies, and collaborate with finance for account reconciliation.
  • Claims Management: Lead the resolution of claims related to damaged goods and delivery discrepancies, liaising with suppliers and shipping companies to prevent future issues.
  • Stock Control: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to align stock with demand.
  • Importing: Assist in the importation process, ensuring compliance with regulations and coordinating with customs and logistics providers for smooth operations.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Motivate and develop a team of operations staff, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring training in best practices and regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Generate reports and provide insights on operational metrics, offering recommendations for continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-5 years in operations, including leadership roles, with a background in order processing, invoicing, and stock control. Importing and customs documentation experience preferred.
  • Industry: Food and Beverage or FMCG would be beneficial
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, with Netsuite ERP experience advantageous.
  • Education: Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Supply Chain Management certifications (e.g., APICS, CIPS) beneficial.
