The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College are now seeking a Vocational Skills Assessor - someone to facilitate the effective and efficient practical and online assessment of leaners as well as the development of their commercial, employability and enterprise skills.
You will assess learners on a variety of programmes across the School which may include Level 1, 2 and Level 3 in Beauty Therapy, Customer Service & Workskills, providing prompt and constructive feedback after the assessment. You will ensure a strong client base in the Commercial salons ensuring income targets are met and undertake assessments in the College salons and other practical areas, ensuring a professional, safe and secure environment is maintained.
As our Vocational skills assessor, we would like you to hold professional qualifications with a reputed awarding body, recognised TDLB Assessor Awards (D32, D33) or TDLB new A1 Award for Assessors and hold an IV Award. With recent experience within the beauty therapy industry either through a professional development file (CPD) or recent salon experience, you will be qualified to at least Level 3 in Beauty Therapy. With excellent communication skills and demonstratable patience, you will have good IT skills (or a willingness to gain these).
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is implemented in the new academic year.
