Horticulture Team Leader

Full Time, 40 hours per week, 15.13 per hour

We have a great new opportunity for a Team Leader (Horticulture Team Leader) to join the team in the North Surrey/SW London area.

You will be maintains the parks and open spaces of the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames and Elmbridge. The Team Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining and preparing high-quality sports surfaces, primarily focusing on cricket and football pitches. This position requires a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine passion for preparing pristine playing surfaces.

Requirements:

  • Qualified in horticulture with a minimum of 3 years experience.

  • Previous team leader experience

  • A confident person who can display good people management skills.

  • Experienced using a wide variety of small engine machinery

  • Full, clean driving licence.

  • PA1 & PA6 is desirable.

  • Reliable and conscientious and able to work on their own initiative.

  • Assisting the Supervisor and Senior Team Leaders in the effective delivery of the programmed maintenance.

  • Taking responsibility for the works on site, including timekeeping, productivity arrangements for breaks, dealing with members of the public, visitors to the site and deliveries.

  • Proactively leading by example, motivating and guiding the team and maintaining workforce discipline.

These are permanent roles available after a successful probation period of 13 to 15 weeks
