Your new role

The role involves providing HR support and advice, managing employee relations, supporting HR Business Partners, and assisting with payroll. The successful applicant will also help to develop and utilise their new HR system and coordinate HR policy updates.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Assist HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with initiatives to enhance line management capabilities.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and collaborate with HR and client groups to address issues.
  • Support various projects, including performance reviews, audits, and staff survey action plans.
  • Provide consistent advice on attendance, performance and grievances.
  • Manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
  • Update HR policies to reflect legislation, best practices, and organisational values.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate wellbeing support, including occupational health referrals.
  • Oversee monthly payroll reconciliation and validation, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Collaborate with the HR System Lead to develop systems utlisation.
  • Coordinate feedback and implement changes, liaising with the HR Systems Lead for complex issues.
  • Work with HRBPs and stakeholders to refresh and implement new policies.
  • Stay updated on employment law changes and reflect these in policies and guidance.
  • Manage HR content on the intranet, ensuring it is current and user-friendly.

What you'll need to succeed

  • CIPD Level 3 and 12 months experience in a similar positon.
  • Experience of managing disciplinary, grievance, attendance and performance employee relations cases.
  • Confident and articulate communicator, able to build rapport and trust with people at all levels.
  • Experience in problem solving and decision making and able to exercise good judgement on when to escalate.
  • Proven ability to manage your own time and prioritise work.
  • Experience with HR systems and reporting, including MS Office products.
  • Experience of Workday is desirable
  • Experience of updating HR policies
