Are you passionate about technology and eager to make a difference in an educational environment? We're looking for a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team!

What You'll Do:
  • Provide 1st/2nd line ICT support to employees and clients.
  • Efficiently log and resolve calls using our Helpdesk Management system.
  • Support hosted telephony solutions and configure handsets.
  • Maintain and update end-user computer equipment and peripherals.
  • Install and configure client-based hardware and software.
  • Implement server-based imaging for both MAC and Windows systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and authorized changes.
  • Set up user accounts and mailboxes.
  • Install software and apply updates/patches.
  • Monitor computer equipment performance and apply solutions.
  • Update, replace, and renew IT equipment.
  • Liaise with Senior Support Technician on software and network issues.
  • Attend team and project meetings.
  • Travel to other campuses as needed.
  • Undertake tasks as directed by the Deputy Director IT Services.
What We're Looking For:
  • L3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of network technology (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, etc.).
  • Understanding of network topologies and services (VOIP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, desktop/server OS, and Apple macOS.
  • Experience with system management tools (Microsoft and Apple).
  • Skills in hardware/software installation, audio-visual tech, and printer tech.
  • Understanding of wireless technologies.
  • Experience diagnosing PC/MAC and infrastructure issues.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts and Unix/Linux.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Positive, results-focused attitude.
