Assignment period: 6+ Months Contracts (Temporary Contract)

Our Conservation & Heritage Officer work within Building and Construction environment. You will be working as part of a team to:

  • Provide advice (written and verbal) on the impact of development proposals (pre-application enquiries, applications, Listed Building Consents and enforcement) where there is an impact on the historic environment.
  • Attend meetings (mainly virtually but some may be in person).
  • Using archives, heritage legislation, and conservation standards for research. Communicating with planning officers, and giving technical advice to teams working on conservation projects.
  • Site visits to assess historic buildings and structures.
  • engagement/ liaison with Historic England.

You will be expected to provide a high standard of work to the role.
