Your new role

Assisting with the maintenance work in our recreational grounds, landscaped areas, open spaces and more, which include highway verges, shrub and rose beds. The team are seeking candidates to join them in a long-term contract position with full-time hours (37-42 hours per week).Hours of work will be on a flexible rota, but it will generally be 7am-4pm Monday-Thursday and 7am - 3.30pm on a Friday. Weekend work is optional and paid extra.

Duties will include all

  • Grass cutting.
  • Edging of grass areas.
  • Hedges, Shrubs and Rose beds.
  • The preparation and planting of the summer / winter bedding.
  • Summer & Winter sports maintenance.
  • Marking out summer / winter sports pitches.
  • Weed spraying.
  • Littering and bin emptying.
  • Opening and closing of sports pavilions.
  • Cleaning of toilets and other council facilities

What you'll need to succeed

A suitable applicant would ideally have experience of working within the park's environment, general labouring, landscaping or outdoor work. Experience in this sector will ideally demonstrate your reliability for the hours of work and working outside.
