About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their career in governance and compliance, to work in a senior role reporting directly to the Finance Director. This role would suit someone driven by working in an organisation with a very clear purpose, which is to build high-quality, affordable homes that support sustainable rural communities. You will provide advice and support to the Executive Team and the Group’s Boards and Committees and lead a small team that is responsible for governance, regulatory and legal compliance, data protection, insurance and risk management.

About you

They are looking for a qualified company secretary/solicitor; or you may have equivalent experience with a degree level qualification. You will have previously worked in a regulated environment.

They also want to hear about your:

  • Understanding of company constitutions and group governance arrangements
  • Ability to work on a broad array of matters, in a role where no two days are the same
    • A working knowledge of data protection legislation and good practice
    • Excellent stakeholder management at all levels
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • A methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail
