Job Description:

Holden Knight Healthcare is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a respected community organization in London, for Senior Social Workers and Social Workers to join their Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and intervention for children and young people in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
  • Manage a varied and complex caseload, conducting assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with statutory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including health, education, and legal teams, to create comprehensive care plans.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and carers, acting as a point of contact and support for those in your care.
  • Contribute to case discussions, meetings, and ongoing professional development to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring compliance with all safeguarding standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in Looked After Children or Children in Care settings, preferably within a local authority or similar organization.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload and work under pressure.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and delivering high standards of care for children and young people.
