Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey and making a positive impact in a nurturing environment? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an independent school in Kingston.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs.

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.

  • Help students with tasks, encouraging independent learning while offering appropriate support.

  • Observe and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff.

  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other tailored educational plans.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting confidence and self-esteem in students.

  • Support the development of students' social and emotional skills.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a learning support or educational role.

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with varying needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude toward fostering student development.

  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with learning difficulties or special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.

  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN (such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is beneficial, but not essential.
