We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Kingston. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with students, providing tailored support to ensure their academic success and personal development.

SEN Teaching Assistant | Role Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a range of SEN needs, both in the classroom and in small group settings. You will help create an inclusive learning environment that enables all students to succeed, providing 1:1 and group support to ensure their engagement and progress.

SEN Teaching Assistant | Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting students with SEN across the curriculum, both in-class and through small group work.
  • Implementing individualised learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Providing emotional and social support, helping students develop confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and adapting resources to suit the needs of SEN students.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress and liaising with the SENCO and other staff to provide effective support.
 
SEN Teaching Assistant | What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working in an educational setting, ideally as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their academic and personal best.
