Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Support: Work closely with students with special educational needs to provide one-on-one support tailored to their unique requirements.

  • Inclusive Learning: Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt and modify lessons to accommodate students with SEN, ensuring an inclusive and accessible curriculum.

  • Behavioral Support: Implement strategies for behavior management and create a supportive and respectful classroom environment.

  • Progress Tracking: Monitor and record students' progress and achievements, communicating effectively with parents and caregivers.

  • Personal Care: Provide personal care and assistance to students with physical disabilities or medical needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN is highly preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to fostering the well-being and development of students with special needs.

  • Knowledge of relevant assistive technologies and resources.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
