Your new companyYou will be joining a reputable and established engineering company based in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator, with excellent customer service skills, ideally with engineering sector experience, to join a busy and supportive team.

Your new roleThis is a full-time role working in the office, where you will provide support for the management team by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department. This includes placing orders, dealing with customer requests, and supporting the engineering team with the processing of projects to scheduled completion. Core responsibilities are:

  • Managing incoming calls/emails to the department
  • Providing high levels of customer service and communication at all times
  • Customer liaising (external and group)
  • Customer acknowledgement of enquiries
  • Managing customer expectations to high standards
  • WIP review/management
  • Maintaining real-time WIP data and entry and job packs
  • Monitoring of quote performance
  • Parts procurement and ordering
  • Entering quotes onto the system
  • Booking in and out of jobs
  • General administrative support to the wider business

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally, in the engineering sector
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable - confident working with a reactive and fast-paced business
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook, Excel) and ideally ordering systems
  • Great team working skills as well as confidence to work independently
