The company are a leading manufacturer of forged, fabricated and machined components.
The business are seeking to recruit a quality engineer or quality technician for their operations.
The main responsibility for the role is to ensure production processes are to spec and inspections to final parts carried out.
Responsibilities
As a quality engineer or quality technician, the duties are as follows;
- Ensure that production processes are working to specifications.
- Routine inspections, pass off and initial sample inspections reports.
- Goods inwards parts and product checks.
- Investigation of customer complaints.
- Promote a continuous improvement environment.
- Maintenance of the calibration system
Key skills for this role are as follows;
- Previous quality inspection or quality engineer experience in a heavy engineering environment.
- Able to use quality inspection equipment such as gauges, verniers etc.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Computer literate.
- Solid attention to detail.
The shift is a Days role Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 4.45pm and Friday 7.45am to 3.45pm.
Salary is up to £30,000 per annum and overtime at premium rates is available.
The role is based in the Dudley area so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, West Bromwich, Kidderminster.
