People Solutions is recruiting for a Class 2 Steel Driver in Kingswinford, West Midlands, with a pay rate of £15.00 per hour.
The position offers ongoing work, weekly pay, and opportunities for growth and training.
Candidates must hold a valid UK Category C Licence and have a minimum of 12 months experience driving Category C vehicles.
Essential skills include effective communication, punctuality, and a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
Immediate starts are available, and applicants should have no more than six penalty points on their driving record.

CLASS 2 STEEL DAY DRIVER

MONDAY TO FRIDAY START TIMES FROM 05.00AM to 08.00AM

PAY RATE: £15.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Steel Drivers to join our well-established client based in Kingswinford, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay:

Basic: £15.00 per hour.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

Deliveries of Steel products to factories no handball (working on curtain-side)
Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all steel is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving Category C vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial
Must have used Straps and Chains before

Training

Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
