As an Area Sales Manager, you will represent a world-class brand of highly engineered tools associated with the metalworking industries. Covering the West Midlands, the M5 corridor, and (South Wales infrequently), this role blends technical expertise with consultative selling.
- The Area Sales Manager will build and grow relationships with key dealer, merchant and distribution accounts.
- Drive end-user engagement with fabricators, automotive manufacturers, and foundries.
- Solve manufacturing challenges by becoming a trusted advisor to your customers.
- Collaborate with a Technical Area Manager for advanced product demonstrations and engineering support.
- Conduct training and toolbox talks with distributors and end-users.
- Support distributors with demonstrations and consult with their customers.
This is a fully autonomous role, putting you in control of pricing, promotions, and rebates to drive commercial decisions. As Area Sales Manager, you will run your region as if it were your own business!

The Candidate Requirements for the Area Sales Manager Role- A sales background in engineering and / or metal working industries e.g. cutting tools, CNC machines, abrasives, assembly tools, welding equipment, lathes, fasteners, etc.
- Confidence in delivering technical product demonstrations.
- Strong relationship-building skills with end users, dealers, and merchants.
- Experience in selling engineered products is a significant advantage.
- The ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
- Familiarity with the sales-through-distribution model.
- £42,000
- 15%-30% of basic salary (paid monthly, quarterly, and annually).
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
