Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Flexibility required based on appointments)

About the Role:

Are you a results-driven sales professional with experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry? Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new sales opportunities and expand their customer base.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company, offering the flexibility to manage your own diary, identify new business opportunities, and build long-term client relationships across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
  • Target new customers and nurture long-term client relationships.
  • Independently manage appointments, client meetings, and travel schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with businesses of all sizes, from SMEs to large corporate clients.
  • Provide detailed reports following client visits.
  • Work closely with the Director to drive sales growth and strategy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors.
  • A strong track record of winning new business and managing client relationships.
  • Knowledge of the steel industry (preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to understand technical requirements (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • IT literate with strong reporting and organisational skills.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
