Children's Residential Care worker - Level 3 qualified

Job Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to children in residential care settings
• Implement care plans and support the physical, emotional, and social needs of each child
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children under your care
• Work collaboratively with other staff members and agencies to meet the needs of children
• Participate in activities and outings with children to promote their well-being

Required Qualifications:

• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
• Valid DBS clearance
• Experience working with children in a residential care setting

Education:

• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in the following care settings
• • Harmful sexual behaviour (HSB) homes
  • Gang and radicalisation and intervention Program (GRIP) Homes
  • Child Exploitation (CSE) Homes
  • Complex Needs Homes

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Aid certification
• Training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

• Part-time hours, as per the needs of the residential care facility
• Salary range: £12.50 - £13.50 per hour
• Temporary position
