Sales Consultant - Educational Travel

Our client is an independent tour operator specialising in educational, cultural, and activity trips for schools and youth groups across the UK and internationally. They are dedicated to creating meaningful journeys for young adventurers. They are looking for someone to help them expand their customer base through dealing with both incoming enquiries as well as building new relationships.

Sales Consultant - What You'll Be Doing

  • Building strong relationships with customers, providing excellent service, and nurturing long-term partnerships.
  • Handling incoming enquiries and booking trips for schools and youth groups
  • Actively sourcing and generating new business to meet sales targets.
  • Keeping the CRM system accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborating with internal teams like Marketing and Transport to deliver precise customer quotes.
  • Occasionally visiting schools to support the sales process and participating in a 24-hour support rota during peak seasons.

Sales Consultant - What We're Looking For

  • Ideally you have worked within educational travel previously however experience in selling any type of travel before would be considered. Equally if you have sold other products into education this would be an advantage.
  • We are also keen to see applications from anyone with an interest and passion in this field who is happy to work to targets and be proactive in the sales process.
  • Proven sales and customer service experience is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • A full UK driving license.

Additional Information

Hours: Monday to Friday.

Hybrid Work Model: 2-3 days a week in the office

Location: West Midlands.

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 +commission and bonus (OTE £35,000-£40,000).

The team are relaxed and friendly, they are all passionate about the work they do and there will be quite a lot of opportunity for you to travel to sample the trips you will be selling. Free parking, 23 days holiday plus 2 extra days. Company social events.
