- Oversee the hiring and returning of machinery, cranes, and small equipment as directed by site managers.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of all on-hires, off-hires, and purchases.
- Ensure timely and correct invoice processing.
- Manage machine breakdowns, including liaising with hire companies to organise repairs and minimise downtime.
- Keep track of machine/ crane breakdown charges from suppliers and challenge discrepancies where necessary.
- Finalise and distribute all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to the appropriate site managers.
- Order and distribute essential materials such as bolts (HD Bolts, Phase Bolts), PPE, and lifting gear.
- Ensure all test certificates, H&S Documentation, and required paperwork are in place before any on-site work begins.
- Maintain and update site training records, ensuring necessary certifications (e.g., CSCS & CPCS cards) are kept up to date.
- Check off all invoices against relevant records, chasing credits or corrections as needed.
- Organise accommodation for external workers when necessary and coordinate deliveries, ensuring appropriate plant is on-site for unloading.
- Keep site planner up to date.
- Analyse tracking system to complete weekly timesheets
- Site van vehicle maintenance - MOTs, Services, Repairs, Tyres.
- Work collaboratively with a small team providing cover where required.
- Liaising with site teams to ensure the smooth running of projects.
- Strong IT Skills - Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is essential
- A background in construction is essential, previous experience in steel industry is preferable.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring all tasks are managed efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial.
- Experience collaborating with other teams, departments, and external suppliers.
- A self-motivated individual who can work from own initiative and manage multiple tasks at once and work well under pressure in a busy environment.
