CAD Detailer / Daughtsman
Type: Full-time, in-house
Location: Kingswinford
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Your main responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for architectural metalwork projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct site surveys to gather measurements and assess project requirements.
- Produce comprehensive material and bolt lists for fabrication and installation.
- Maintain organized project documentation and ensure accuracy throughout the design process.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CAD detailing role, specifically within the architectural metalwork and steel fabrication sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) with some familiarity in 3D modelling (not essential).
- Experience in designing steel staircases, balustrades, handrails, and balconies.
- Knowledge of stainless steel and glazed balustrade systems.
- CSCS card holder to facilitate site surveys and inspections.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- A clean driving licence to support site visits when necessary.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
