Robertson Bell is delighted to be partnering with an established public sector organisation in their search for an Interim Finance Manager This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and personable finance professional to join a well-performing team, providing essential leadership during a critical period. The initial contract will be for six months, with a strong potential for a permanent opportunity for the right candidate?

The main responsibilities include:

  • Producing statutory accounts and leading the year-end process.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process.
  • Preparing the monthly management accounts pack with insightful analysis.
  • Business partnering across the organisation to maintain accurate budgets, while reviewing and approving purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Leading a high-performing finance team, offering support and guidance to ensure continued success.
  • Overseeing the debtor and creditor ledgers, ensuring robust financial control.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • A strong track record of producing statutory accounts and successfully leading external audits.
  • Proven experience in managing and motivating finance teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation.
  • Previous experience in the public sector is highly desirable.
