Position: Health and Safety HSE Lead

Location: Midlands?

Salary: £50 / £55,000 (Negotiable for Exceptional Candidates)

Our client, a well-established global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of specialist engineered assemblies, is offering an exciting career opportunity for an experienced HSE Lead.

This position is based at their cutting-edge manufacturing site in the Midlands, where innovation and excellence are at the core of their operations.

Key Responsibilities

As the HSE Lead, you will:

Develop and implement cohesive strategies and standards for health, safety, and environmental matters across four UK sites.

Manage ISO 14001 compliance and implement OHSAS 18001 certification.

Ensure legislative and regulatory compliance, delivering expert advice to management and employees on HSE best practices.

Lead accident and incident investigations, analysing data to mitigate risks and improve safety processes.

Conduct HSE planning, set strategic goals, and deliver performance reports.

Coordinate HSE committee meetings and toolbox talks, driving a positive safety culture.

Oversee environmental responsibilities, including Extended Producer Responsibility regulations.

Travel between UK sites as needed to maintain and enforce standards.

About You

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HSE management.

NEBOSH Certification (working towards Diploma preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar HSE leadership role within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Proven experience managing stakeholder teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Advanced MS Office skills and a full UK driving license.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre, bringing substantial experience in Health and Safety ideally within a manufacturing environment or a regulated industry.
