What You Will Do:
- Provide crucial support to the gearbox repair department through the dismantling and assembly of various types of industrial gearboxes.
- Produce detailed inspection reports highlighting operational issues, driving quality improvements.
- Interpret engineering data and documentation, ensuring gearboxes are assembled accurately and ready for installation.
- Work independently, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work, while also being a proactive problem-solver.
- Adhere to and promote standard work practices, focusing on quality, health & safety, and environmental activities.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, showcasing your ability to manage challenges efficiently.
What You Will Bring:
- An apprenticeship in a related field or sufficient experience in a similar role.
- A working knowledge of various types of gearboxes and the ability to work to instruction and on own initiative.
- Experience in using measuring and testing equipment to ensure components meet required quality and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
- GCSE or equivalent education, with health & safety, environmental, or quality training being advantageous.
