- Support and manage relationships with families accessing Short Breaks and Personal Budgets through the Children with Disabilities Team.
- Oversee and supervise financial transactions and resource allocations to ensure families can effectively use available services.
- Contribute to the development and promotion of Direct Payments and Short Break Services, ensuring they align with a child-centred, inclusive approach.
- Work alongside commissioning leads and external providers to improve access to resources for children with disabilities.
- Conduct financial reviews of services provided through Direct Payments to ensure they meet the needs of the children.
- Manage the administration of Direct Payments, including ensuring DBS checks for Personal Assistants and supporting parents with managed or devolved accounts.
- Collaborate with health and SEN teams to ensure Personal Budgets meet the assessed needs of children.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure the effectiveness of Short Break provision.
- Significant experience working in a related field, ideally within children's services or SEND.
- Experience in financial administration and managing Direct Payments.
- Strong partnership working skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, external partners, and service users.
- Knowledge of SEND policies and promoting independence and resilience for children and young adults.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Competence in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel, and the ability to use social care records and data systems.
