The RoleÂ
The firm is now keen to recruit a Charities Solicitor who can support the team in delivering specialist legal advice and assistance to the firm’s charity and not-for-profit clients, as well as sector business partners. This role involves providing guidance on charity law, constitutional and regulatory matters, and promoting good governance.
This will include:
- Undertaking competent and effective research on behalf of the team and shares knowledge appropriately internally
- Good financial hygiene including WIP, billing, time recording and cash collection
- Supporting and engaging with appropriate business development activities, including understanding the importance of identifying opportunities for new work
About you:
- Qualified Solicitor or AssociateÂ
- Conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic, demonstrating good team skills and a positive role model
- Passion and interest for specialising in this area of law
- Remains calm but assertive in difficult circumstances
- Ideally has a level of technical knowledge of charity law & regulation and Charity Commission guidance, you will be passionate about specialising in this area
- Conducts research competently and effectively
- Keeps up to date with relevant changes in the sector
