Family Lawyer / Legal Executive - Leading Law Firm

A well-established, employee-owned law firm is seeking a dedicated Family Lawyer or Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join their Family (Care) team in Dudley. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Family Law professional to work in a fast-paced and busy practice while delivering excellent service to clients across a range of family law matters.

The Role

As a Family Lawyer / Legal Executive, you will manage your own caseload of diverse family law matters, including domestic violence, children, and finance issues. You will be responsible for advising clients and conducting proceedings from initial instruction through to conclusion. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the client base and the overall success of the team.

This role would particularly suit:

  • A qualified solicitor or legal executive with at least 2 years of post-qualified experience in Family Law.
  • A professional with experience in managing a variety of family law cases, particularly those involving Domestic Violence, Children, and Finance matters.
  • An individual with strong working knowledge of Legal Aid processes and an ability to manage cases efficiently from start to finish.
  • Someone with excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills, as well as the ability to handle time-sensitive matters while delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of publicly funded family law matters, including Domestic Violence, Children, and Finance proceedings.
  • Advising clients on the best course of action and providing clear, effective legal advice throughout proceedings.
  • Conducting proceedings from initial instructions through to conclusion, ensuring favourable outcomes for clients.
  • Maintaining a strong client base by providing outstanding service and professional advice.
  • Utilising the company's case management system to efficiently manage caseloads, record time, and ensure accurate billing.
  • Working collaboratively within a team of experienced professionals while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal and ethical standards.
