Production Planner
Monday - Thursday: 8.00AM - 4.30PM & Friday: 8.00AM - 2.00PM
Annual Salary £30,000 - £35,000

Day to Day Duties
- Develop and manage detailed production schedules to ensure efficient workflow
- Collaborate with various departments (production, logistics, procurement) to meet customer demands and project deadlines
- Monitor and adjust production schedules to address any delays or changes in priorities
- Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for improvement
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials and resources are available for production needs
- Use ERP systems to track production activities, ensuring accurate and real-time data management
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving lead times, reducing waste, and driving overall efficiency
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using ERP systems for planning and scheduling
- Ability to create effective production schedules based on operational needs
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Must have full driving license and own car
- Must have Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (Confident with using formulas such as VLOOKUP’s)
Desirable Experience
- Experience in coil, rolling, or slitting manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or similar process improvement methods.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
- Some experience of purchasing may also be beneficial but is not essential
