Production Planner 

Monday - Thursday: 8.00AM - 4.30PM & Friday: 8.00AM - 2.00PM

Annual Salary £30,000 - £35,000 

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join our well-established client based in Kingswinford on a full-time permanent basis.

Day to Day Duties

  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules to ensure efficient workflow
  • Collaborate with various departments (production, logistics, procurement) to meet customer demands and project deadlines
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules to address any delays or changes in priorities
  • Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for improvement
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials and resources are available for production needs
  • Use ERP systems to track production activities, ensuring accurate and real-time data management
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving lead times, reducing waste, and driving overall efficiency

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems for planning and scheduling
  • Ability to create effective production schedules based on operational needs
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Must have full driving license and own car
  • Must have Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (Confident with using formulas such as VLOOKUP’s)

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in coil, rolling, or slitting manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or similar process improvement methods.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
  • Some experience of purchasing may also be beneficial but is not essential
