A National Packaging Company in Dudley is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a Permanent Nightshift position in 2025.
The annual salary for this role ranges from £46,000 to £48,000, with weekly hours from Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am.
The primary responsibilities include assisting the Engineering Manager, fault finding, carrying out repairs on machinery, and ensuring production efficiency.
Candidates should ideally have experience as an electrically biased, time-served engineer with good mechanical skills, and preferably have worked with packaging machinery in an FMCG environment.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, along with 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Installation qualifications.

Set up / Changeover machinery in a timely manner, depending on the planned production.
Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
To fault find and carry out repairs on all machinery.
Assisting the Production team where possible:
Providing engineering solutions and assist in an operational capacity,
Monitoring all lines with regards to Overall equipment efficiencies.
Actively look for opportunities to continuously improve machine performance.
Ensure delivery of the maintenance plan as agreed with the Engineering Manager.
To assist in colleague training and development when required.
To carry out electrical and mechanical modifications and installations.
To maintain the company CMMS system in a clear and timely manner.
Outside production hours some week end overtime working will be required to suit the business needs.
Assist the Engineering Manager with all installations, commissioning and facility upgrades prior to season start.
Customer focused, ensure that company quality standards are adhered to.

Qualifications:

Ideally Electrically biased, time served Engineer with good mechanical skills.
17th or 18th Edition Electrical Installation
Although not essential, you will have worked with packaging machinery within FMCG environment with Supporting college/technical qualifications
Continuous improvement tools and techniques.
TPM methodology awareness.
