Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of both machinery and at times, facilities.Key duties revolve around installation of mechanical and electrical components on machines and offices. Maintenance of machines as well as troubleshooting and repairs whenever there is a breakdown.Key Duties for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
  • Regularly schedule and perform maintenance on all equipment, components, and installations. Ensure they remain in optimal working condition to prevent disruptions.
  • React promptly to breakdowns.
  • Install new mechanical and electrical components as needed and recommend replacements for old or faulty parts to management.
  • Perform energy audits and suggest alternative energy sources.
  • Help the organization reduce energy costs while ensuring safety.
  • Supervise maintenance work during new projects and support contractors on-site.
  • Comprehend and adhere to health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Efficiently perform mechanical and electrical installations. 
  • Supervise junior technicians and foster a collaborative team spirit.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy.
  • Possess effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Prioritize tasks through good planning and organization.
  • Make informed decisions, using initiative and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Uphold a high level of honesty and integrity.
Required experience for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in managing teams.

Education and Qualifications:
