General Machinist/Inspector

Are you a skilled machinist looking for your next opportunity? We're on the lookout for a General Machinist Setter/Inspector to join our team!

About the Role

Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, you'll be responsible for setting and operating a range of machines, ensuring high-quality production and supporting goods-in inspection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate general machines, including lathes and CNC
  • Work to tight tolerances and read engineering drawings
  • Use Verniers and Micrometers to ensure precision
  • Provide goods-in inspection for Far East sourced products, checking against drawings and tolerances
  • Support Assembly operations when required
  • Operate machinery safely, following TD guidelines and manufacturers' recommendations
  • Manufacture components to agreed quality standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in setting and operating machinery 
  • CNC experience is an advantage but not essential
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work to precise tolerances
  • Strong teamwork skills - we're a close-knit group, and collaboration is key!
