Role Overview:

Concept Resources are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Technician for a company in DY6. The role involves assembling and integrating sub-assemblies (e.g., Spindles, Clamps, Pneumatics, Hydraulics) into complete machines.


Key Responsibilities for Mechanical Build Engineer:
- Assemble sub-units using technical drawings and fluid schematics.
- Install hydraulic, lubrication, and pneumatic systems.
- Inspect parts and operate machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, grinders).
- Handle on-site installations, upgrades, and breakdowns.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Contribute to process improvements and upfront project planning.


Skills & Competencies for Mechanical Build Engineer:
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Strong mechanical and machining skills.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and adaptability.
- UK driving license and valid passport required.


Education/Experience for Mechanical Build Engineer:
- City & Guilds or BTEC in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in machine tool fitting and bespoke machine building.
