Prospero Teaching are working with a Pupil Referral Unit based in Dudley.

Our Client is seeking 2 compassionate, dedicated and resilient behaviour mentors / Teaching Assistants to join their school to help make a positive impact on the lives of pupils.You will be responsible for playing a crucial part in helping students develop positive relationships, emotional resilience, and effective coping strategies.You will work closely with pupils with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, providing mentorship that encourages them to re-engage with education and succeed academically.Who We Are Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or youth work (Level 3 or above preferred but no essential).
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or mentoring capacity, particularly those with behavioural challenges, is highly desirable.
  • Skill Set:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire trust and respect among students.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the effects of trauma on behaviour.
  • Ability to think creatively to engage and motivate students in their learning and personal growth.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people in overcoming lifes challenges.
