- Be familiar with the Pressure Equipment Directive and PESR.
- Have an understanding of weld procedures and possess welder qualifications.
- Construction of data books for high integrity pressure vessels.
- To ensure the highest quality in the manufacture of our pressure vessels.
- Understanding of NDE procedures and organise contractors.
- To liaise with and organise third party notified bodies
- Control calibrated equipment
- Organise and oversea audits ISO9001 and PED/PESR etc
- Maintain and continuously improve the quality system
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyse data from quality reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and enhance product reliability.
- Train and mentor team members on quality control practices and standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics for management review.
- Proven experience in a quality control or assurance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of weld procedures and qualifications
- MIG/TIG and submerged arc welding techniques
- Pressure vessel experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.
