Dunbar Education are currently recruiting for a Level 2 teaching assistant, who has experience with SEN to join one of our schools in Dudley. Do you have the skills, dedication, and experience to support students in a SEN school environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Role and Responsibilities

As a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the learning and development of students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver tailored learning activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and social development of the students.
Requirements
  • Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
