One of our amazing SEND schools is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who can confidently work with young people aged 5 – 25 years old with profound and moderate learning difficulties (PMLD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, personalized support to students with PMLD.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Facilitate effective communication using a variety of methods, such as Makaton, PECS, and assistive technology.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver holistic education and care.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, celebrating achievements and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or a related field (Level 2/3 LSA or equivalent is preferred).
