Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching AssistantLocation: Various Mainstream Schools Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time positions available, Term-time onlyAbout the Role:We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants to join our mainstream schools. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support children with diverse learning needs, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needsWork closely with class teachers and SENCOs to plan and deliver tailored interventionsAssist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategiesFoster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and independenceMonitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents support the integration of students with SEN into the wider classroom activities.About You:We are looking for passionate individuals who are committed to helping students with SEN reach their full potential. You will have a calm and patient manner, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.Essential Criteria:Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.A strong understanding of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning or behavioural needs.Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with SEN.The ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learning needs.Desirable Criteria:Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.Previous experience working in an SEN role or with children with SEN.Experience working within mainstream schools.Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.What We Offer:A supportive and inclusive school community.Opportunities for professional development and training.A rewarding role where you can make a real difference in children's lives.
