Shipping/Warehouse AssistantKingswinfordSalary Negotiable based on experience (£12 an hour plus)We are looking for someone to bring fresh thinking, shipping knowledge and experience to our Shipping Team in Kingswinford. The successful candidate will be a positive, energetic individual with sound knowledge of packaging and shipping and forklift driving. You have good knowledge of shipping in a fast pace environment with challenging targets.Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the assembly area is free of finished products at all times.
  • Pack all orders into appropriately sized boxes and securely band them to pallets to prevent damage during transit.
  • Prepack accessories in date order, verifying quantities, work order descriptions, and instructions.
  • Upon completing an order, check the system for any updates and ensure labels are placed on the correct boxes.
  • Process orders in compliance with instructions and guidelines, ensuring they are ready for final shipment.
  • Prepare all necessary shipping documentation and book EU shipments with carriers.
  • Organize labelled boxes for loading and transport.
  • Ensure compliance with the carrier process for all shipments.
Profile:
  • A valid forklift license is preferable.
  • This is a physical role so a good level of fitness is essential.
  • Prior experience with Oracle shipping system is beneficial.
  • Relevant work experience in a logistics department is required.
  • Self-managed, independent and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Willing to work outside regular hours, when required
