- Perform hourly sand tests on backing and facing sand, including compatibility, green strength, permeability, moisture, mould hardness, wet tensile strength, and sand temperature.
- Accurately record results using our computer system.
- Monitor metal casting temperatures and pour speeds.
- Assist with monthly core machine calibration.
- Maintain laboratory and working areas to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including wearing the correct PPE at all times.
- Report any concerns affecting casting quality, equipment condition, or raw materials.
- Work collaboratively with the production and quality teams to optimise processes and output.
- Good timekeeping and attendance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Computer literacy for recording and reviewing data.
- Ability to work independently and plan workload efficiently.
- Forklift licence
- Crane, lifting, and slinging experience
- First Aid training
