Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Salary: £13.00 p/h
Hours: Flexible (24-30hrs p/w - to be agreed with successful candidate)
Based: Kington, Herefordshire (HR5)
We are recruiting for a proficient Accounts Assistant to join the accounts team, starting as soon as possible, reporting to the Finance Manager(s). You will be working for a well-known and well-respected manufacturing and electrical installation company servicing the water and waste-water sector, employing around 50 staff.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Sage accounting software (or equivalent)
- General accountancy
- Good communication skills including excellent telephone manner
- Confidence in speaking to customers/suppliers
- Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Eque2 construction software
- AAT Level 2 in Accountancy or equivalent
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Inputting bills onto accounting software Eque2 posting to Sage accounts
- Customer invoicing
- Director’s expenses
- Directors’ mileage claims
- Assisting with bank reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are on the system
- Employee one off expenses
- Employee Barclaycard - credit card receipts
- Customer payments - inputting on Sage
- Creating contract numbers, updating customer files and relevant excel sheets
- Answering telephone calls
- Assist with year-end stock control
