We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at our 4-star hotel, which features a vibrant sports bar and an elegant la carte restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-paced kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:Kitchen Operations:
  • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards in your assigned section (grill, sauté, sauce, etc.).
  • Assist in creating menus for both the sports bar and la carte restaurant, ensuring variety and quality.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Food Safety & Hygiene:
  • Follow all food safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Ensure correct food storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste.
  • Adhere to HACCP and hotel health & safety guidelines.
Team Leadership & Training:
  • Supervise and train Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters as required.
  • Foster a positive and productive working environment within the kitchen team.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Stock & Cost Control:
  • Assist in monitoring food stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Help control food costs and minimize waste without compromising quality.
  • Contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal menu updates.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel, sports bar, or fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong culinary skills with experience in grill, sauté, or pastry (depending on section).
  • Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong team player with leadership qualities.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Safety Level 2 (or higher) qualification preferred.
