Aqua-Tech Recruitment have opportunities for experienced Electrical Technicians/Electricians to work on a range of exciting water treatment projects throughout central Scotland.
The successful candidates will come from either an industrial background and will ideally have inspection and testing experience.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical testing, inspection, and troubleshooting to ensure the safety and compliance of electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical panels, distribution boards, and containment systems.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents to execute installations and modifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and periodic checks on electrical equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, safety regulations, and the latest electrical technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of all testing, maintenance, and installation activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification.
- Proven experience in electrical testing and inspection.
- Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical panels and containment systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., C&G 2391, ECS card) are a plus.
- UK Driving License
Education:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Electrical technician or electrician apprenticeship or equivalent training is preferred.
