Duration – 3 Months

Pay Rate: £12.21 p/hr
 Hours: 37.5 hrs.  Mon-Thu 8:30am -17:30pm, 8:30am-13:00pm Fri

You will gain valuable hands-on experience, working alongside seasoned professionals to support the production process from start to finish.


Job Description:

A. RELATIONSHIPS
• The Graduate reports to the Production Manager of the section to which he or she is assigned.

B. AUTHORITY WITHIN DEPARTMENT
• The Graduate has authority to pick a project, come up with the required actions and follow through them keeping the line supervisor in the loop.

C. RESPONSIBILITIES
• To issue engineering documents as required.
• To assist in general clerical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the Production Department.
• To progress small engineering projects, as allocated by the Production Engineer, or working as part of a larger team on larger projects. In both cases, most of the work will be carried out under the guidance and supervision of the Production Manager or other assigned team member.
• Project work, in addition to design, will include all aspects of the design process such as draughting and testing of products as well as other organisational/operational tasks as deemed appropriate by the Production Manager to ensure timely progress of projects being worked on.
• To remain constantly aware of targets and progress of projects being worked on and communicate with colleagues and line manager in relation to delays or changes in relation to work progress. To liaise with clients and suppliers as required.
• To provide engineering and operational support to all ANSON group companies.
• To carry out other reasonable duties requested by the Production Manager

D. QUALITY ASSURANCE
• To ensure that all assigned designs are independently checked for compliance with Company standards.
• To ensure that only approved tasks are being processed.
• To ensure that the Company’s production quality control and quality assurance procedures are adhered to.

E. TRAINING
• To keep up to date with relevant technology and with the operation of relevant hardware and software within the Production Department.
• To actively participate in training which has been identified.
