Graduate Design Engineer (Formwork - Structural / Mechanical)

Willerby, Hull

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm. Fridays, 8am to 14.00pm.

Graduate Design Engineer required for a specialist solutions provider for infrastructure projects who are committed to environmental sustainability. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company who can offer ongoing development.

This role would suit candidates from a structural design or mechanical design background looking for a varied role. Graduates (or equivalent) who have studied structural / mechanical engineering (or equivalent) are encouraged to apply. You will need experience using Inventor, Revit or similar.

Working closely with a company co-founder, the successful graduate design engineer will support the design of bespoke formwork solutions. You will also be involved in carrying out FEA and speaking to customers to understand their requirements and provide technical expertise.

The Graduate Design Engineer Role:

· Designing GRP permanent formwork solutions – this will include working with standard soffit panels, cantilever panels, haunched panels

· Using Inventor and Tekla

· FEA

· Speaking to customers to understand requirements and tailor solutions

· Liaise with customer engineering department to gain design approval

· Produce manufacturing/shop drawings

· Occasional site visits

· Research and understand location specific regulations

The Graduate Design Engineer Candidate:

· Structural or mechanical design background

· Experience with Inventor, Revit or similar

· Structural design graduates (or equivalent / similar) encouraged to apply
