We are pleased to be working with a close-knit, family-run business specialising in industrial roofing, sheeting, and cladding. Who due to continued expansion, are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Contracts Manager to join the team, who take immense pride in the quality of their work, the strength of their team, and the long-lasting relationships maintained with clients. Projects range from new builds to refurbishments and maintenance, with values between £5,000 and £2 million.

Purpose of the Role:
As the Senior Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring smooth operations, high standards, and client satisfaction. This senior position requires exceptional leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to foster strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  • Supervise all aspects of health and safety on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and expectations.
  • Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Coordinate with clients to review and adhere to programme schedules and ensure works are completed as planned.
  • Organise working/construction drawings with our draughtsman and clients, resolving any drawing issues to reach the approval stage.
  • Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay within budget and hit practical completion dates.
  • Procure project materials and ensure deliveries meet programme time requirements.
  • Attend and actively participate in site meetings, addressing issues promptly and ensuring snagging is closed off in time for handover.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with main contractors, clients, and suppliers.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of progress reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Review and interpret architectural and steelwork construction drawings to guide project execution.

 

Experience and requirements:

  • Local to the Midlands or able to commute reliably.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial roofing, sheeting, or cladding.
  • Direct experience in managing projects of varying sizes, particularly within the industrial roofing sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PDF viewer.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and construction drawings.
  • Knowledgeable in flat roof systems, including single-ply, liquid-applied, composite built-up systems, rainscreen systems, and composite cladding.
  • Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly motivated, reliable, and punctual.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
