Sonic Summary

The position of Senior Electrical Design Engineer is available in several locations including NG15, NE11, S60, L6, and M32.
Candidates should have experience in a similar role within a bespoke multi-disciplinary engineering environment, with a focus on designing power distribution systems at 230V.
The role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and offers a competitive salary along with a pension scheme.
Responsibilities include leading electrical design projects, mentoring a small team, and delivering complex engineering solutions on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in Electrical CAD packages and have experience working to ISO9001 or equivalent standards.

Senior Electrical Design Engineers (Several locations: NG15, NE11, S60, L6, M32)

POSITIONS

Leadership of the Electrical Design of Projects with minimal supervision
Providing supervision including mentoring/coaching/development and performance management for a small team of Engineers.
Ability to plan and execute to agreed plans
Delivery of complex engineering solutions to agreed time scales and budgets
Attend design team meetings, working with the wider client team to deliver projects
Provide technical support for discussion with clients and suppliers
Provide technical support and guidance for installation and commissioning activities

PERSON

The ideal candidate would have:

Experience of a similar role in a bespoke multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Provide technical support for discussion with clients and suppliers
Experience in designing Power distribution systems generally at 230V
Experience of Electrical CAD packages such as Amtech and Dialux
Can work within a team or as an individual to achieve deliverables.
Experience of working to ISO9001 or equivalent in a project based organisation.
A high level of competence with IT systems and tools.

The ideal candidate would also have, but is not essential:

Chartered Engineering status
Affiliation with industry recognised bodies
A good understanding of current regulations, particularly the latest wiring regulations.
