Loading Bay Operative
Location: Kirkby Thore
Shifts: Monday to Friday - Rotating Shift pattern
Pay Rate: 12.01 - 14.83 depending on hours worked

We are seeking dedicated Loading Bay Operatives to join our team for the British Gypsum contract in Kirkby Thore.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure loads by unstrapping and strapping them as needed to ensure safety during transit.
  • Collaborate with forklift truck (FLT) drivers to confirm that loads are properly secured or ready to be unloaded.
  • Provide support in loading and unloading activities if required, although these tasks are typically handled by FLT drivers.
  • Maintain adherence to all site health and safety regulations.

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: 21:00 - 06:00
  • Week 2: 13:00 - 22:00
  • Week 3: 06:00 - 15:00

Shifts rotate on a three-week basis, provided in advance. No weekend or bank holiday work unless overtime is offered.

Pay Rates:
Before 40 hours/week:

  • 06:00 - 18:00: 12.01/hour
  • 18:00 - 06:00: 14.74/hour

After 40 hours/week:

  • 06:00 - 18:00: 12.10/hour
  • 18:00 - 06:00: 14.83/hour

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to support loading/unloading if necessary.
  • Commitment to following health and safety rules.
