Are you a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life? We are seeking a resilient and dedicated individual with strong behaviour management skills to provide 1:1 support for a young boy in Year 3

About the Role:
This rewarding position is based in a welcoming primary school in Kirkby. You will work closely with the pupil, providing tailored support to help him overcome challenges, engage with his learning, and thrive in the classroom environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the pupil with his daily learning tasks and classroom activities.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Building a strong, trusting relationship to encourage confidence and progress.
  • Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure a consistent approach to support.

About You:
We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in working with children with behavioural challenges (desirable).
  • Patient, nurturing, and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
  • Consistent and reliable, with the ability to commit to a long-term position.
