As a result, they are creating a brand-new Production Planner position to support their busy operations and drive efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving business and play a key role in shaping and improving their production planning processes.


Reporting to the Production Manager, you will have a broad and varied role. You will be responsible for implementing production plans, coordinating materials and resources, and ensuring the timely delivery of products while maintaining high-quality standards. As a Production Planner, you will work closely with teams across production, procurement, logistics, and engineering to optimise efficiency and achieve production targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and production capacity.
  • Monitor production progress and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure timely and efficient order fulfilment.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
  • Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and optimise production processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Liaise with other departments, including procurement, sales, and engineering.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in production planning or a related role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
