As a result, they are creating a brand-new Production Planner position to support their busy operations and drive efficiency. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will have a broad and varied role. You will be responsible for implementing production plans, coordinating materials and resources, and ensuring the timely delivery of products while maintaining high-quality standards. As a Production Planner, you will work closely with teams across production, procurement, logistics, and engineering to optimise efficiency and achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and production capacity.
- Monitor production progress and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure timely and efficient order fulfilment.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
- Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and optimise production processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Liaise with other departments, including procurement, sales, and engineering.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in production planning or a related role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
