Pyramid8 are supporting a fast paced organisation based in Huddersfield to recruit a Health and Safety Administrator.

The Health, Safety, and ISO Compliance Coordinator is responsible for working alongside HR, IT and Operations to assist in developing, implementing, and managing health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance programs to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to ISO standards. This role will oversee the administration and compliance around all aspects of health and safety, risk assessments, and continuous improvement in safety practices across the organisation.

Role

  • Update, and maintain health, safety, and compliance policies and procedures in line with Health & Safety regulations.
  • To keep up the date records with the continuous improvement of Health and Safety and ISO standards on site.
  • Update and record training programs to educate employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Support with the investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Keep up to date records with regular safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify and address potential safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities.

Experience

  • IOSH/NEBOSH General certificate would be preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
